ChefAdvantage and Galloway School Celebrate Local Farmers
ChefAdvantage recently teamed up with local farmers to serve up a yummy lunch while educating students to the many benefits of enjoying locally produced products. Farmers Laurie and Will Moore of Moore Farms and Friends teamed with our chefs to talk about how foods are grown, what a farmer does, and the importance of mindful eating.

Reaping the Harvest at Trinity School
“Green was the Thing” at Trinity School December 13th as students harvested their garden bounty. Crisp Mixed Lettuces, Swiss Kale, and Russian Chard were the hit of the day as students first harvested, then sampled the fresh offerings they had nurtured for weeks.
Chef Steve and team members Jochen, Snow, and Bertha brought the bounty to plate while serving up beautiful salads and assorted greens simply sautéed with a little extra virgin olive oil and sea salt.
Even the staunchest carnivores tried the veggies as Trinity students learned about the many benefits of eating yummy, locally grown, nutritious veggies.

A New Thanksgiving for The Chastain School
Thanksgiving was extra special this year as we helped longtime friends celebrate their first Thanksgiving in The Chastain School’s new location. Owners Tom Wakefield and Ron Kirk, with Director Penny Putnam and her caring staff, were wonderful hosts as families feasted on the likes of Wild Rice, Pear, and Dried Cranberry Salad, Roast Turkey with Rosemary Pan Sauce, and Ginger-Pumpkin Bread with Cinnamon Whipped Cream.
The Chastain School is a NAEYC accredited school with Christian-based programs that combine the highest standards of early childhood education with a fun and welcoming environment.
